I never thought that I'd be using my emergency fund. three days into moving into my new property Monday night as we were unpacking into our new home I heard some gurgling noises that were coming from the toilet. after a phone call to the plumber and a mental breakdown to my mum we found out that we could not use any of the water any of our toilets till the very next day to make myself feel better we had dinner out to then in the morning Jets was actually the only way for me to shower or go to the bathroom we had to hire an emergency unblocking drain guy that ended up costing us $561 he wasn't able to work out the issue so in came water care and they very kindly unblocked the drain for us nearly 10 hours later and quite a lot of money later I think close to a thousand dollars in plumbing fees we had our house back and it honestly felt so good these few days were also expensive with a 2,000 dollar washing and dryer purchase but that is the reality of our first few nights in our new home also the reality of how expensive it is to own your own home
