There's only 20,000 polar bears left. Orangutans are about to go extinct. Now our water is about to look like this. And it's all because of big AI corporations like Gemini and ChatGPT. All three of these companies use up to 39 million gallons of water (roughly 148 million liters) across its data center network. This water is largely required to cool the servers that power AI responses and to generate the electricity required to run them. just to cool down their data centres. While animals are literally on the brink of extinction, we're building more data centres the size of in places that don't even have water. I'm switching to something that is much more eco friendly. There's so many solutions online, but the one that I like to use is called EcoGPT. It's 10 times more energy efficient than ChatGPT.
