If you use WhatsApp and you don't know about this WhatsApp trick in 2026, I know I might get into trouble for sharing this, but it's okay. Did you know that if you tap and hold on any contact on your WhatsApp list, tap the three dots in the top right corner, tap lock chat, and then select continue. This will lock your chat with that person. Tap OK. And then you'll see the lock chats folder appear at the top of your screen. Now open that folder and tap on the three dots in the top right corner. Select chat lock settings. Then turn on hide locked chats. Next, create a secret code that you will remember. Once you do this, the lock chats will disappear from your WhatsApp homepage. The only way to access these hidden chats is to type the secret code in the search bar. And you can then tap on it to view your messages. Now you no longer have to archive your private chats. To unlock a chat, tap and hold the contact you logged and select unlock chat.
