My youngest daughter just got a tiny little tummy bug and as a mom who eats non-toxic and cares what I put into my body and my kids' body, I figured out I'd share with you guys my favorite little tricks and my favorite products I use when my kids are sick with a stomach bug. If you are a parent, put this in your back pocket, save this video because apparently the tummy bug is going around. So let me show you guys what we end up getting. The first one that I always recommend is PediaLyte. It used to be Kinderlyte, I believe, until they changed the name of the brand. But this is the cleanest that I have been able to find with no artificial flavoring and no dyes. So I always something getting this for my girls and then I mix this with organic coconut water. But obviously if they're puking, you don't want to give them a bunch of fluids, they're just gonna puke it back up. So I always do like a tablespoon with it mixed and give them to them every 30 minutes, 30 minutes to an hour, just to see if they're able to handle it. If you want to do an oral rehydrator electrolyte for your kids, I always recommend I drink these even by myself. I'm like, they're so good. This is just ingredients. You can get their little packets at Sprouts. But honestly, you can't go wrong with either of these. I always make sure that I get not from a concentrate because concentrate is just like pure sugar. This one literally says not from concentrate. And it's organic. So I always get this because it's organic. It's basically grape juice opposed to change the pH balance in your stomach. It's supposed to actually like help the stomach bug like not survive in your stomach and kill the virus or I'm not too sure. So don't count me on it. But also I've been taking this plus charcoal, activated charcoal pills. Charcoal is also supposed to help, but this does not help if you actually have the stomach flu. So if you're already puking, don't even bother taking this. This is a preventative. So before you even get sick or you've been exposed to someone getting sick. Definitely recommend getting pure not from concentrate grape juice. Activated charcoal pills. You will thank me later. Crackers. I obviously when your kids have a tummy bug, they can barely hold anything down. And everyone always gets saltine crackers. But saltine crackers have a lot of extra crap, nastiness, they're not organic and I just personally don't like them. I don't want to feed them to my kids. So I found these saltine crackers are organic. The ingredients are wheat flour, extra virgin olive oil, salt, organic sourdough, organic yeast, and organic rosemary extract. They're the cleanest saltine crackers I have been able to find. And they taste so good, if not even better. I get these at natural grocers and whole foods. Another clean cracker brand that I have found that we actually really love, even when we're not sick, is Patagonia Provisions. These are so good. The ingredients are super clean and they are organic, which is really important, especially dealing with anything that contains wheat. But anyways, that is my little life hack as a mom who eats non-toxic and I hope you guys learn something from me and have a good day.
