Thank you so much for the opportunity to be here at IT for Business. I'm Doudou Ba, CEO and founder of Octopus. Octopus is an autonomous AI data scientist that does the end-to-end data science workflow. Basically, it's just like having an AI human data scientist that operates, connects to your data, transforms it, does analysis, builds machine learning and predictive models on your behalf and deploys. Could you share some of the use cases you've been working on and that you're going to work on in the really next future? I did research and applied AI, published couple of papers in the domain. And the other realm is the industry and corporate world where I work with one of the largest logistics companies, AP Moller Maersk, on shipping solutions and automation and basically machine learning solutions that help to save time, cost and effort. And these two combined, the research and corporate, allows me to build like solutions that do great impact. And that's why I built Octopus. Today is the era of AI, where we can build basically an explosion of solutions, like, uh, in a very short of time. So AI has a full capability of enabling human being, I mean to advance in different domains, in healthcare, in education, in many domain, right? So, depending on everyone's interest on a subject, they can use AI to build something amazing and impactful. So, I did, uh, I did talk to a major guy yesterday, he was talking about, uh, he has a startup idea, but I cannot build because I'm not technical. I'm code, but I don't have the expertise he has. And this is the same for any industry, right? If you are in healthcare, if you did education, if you did engineering, or whatever domain of expertise, you can build an AI solution that actually can help in that industry. You probably don't even need a co-founder, right? What is more important is having the industry knowledge and the knowledge and skills to be able to do execute some task. So, these are what we call AI agents, right? You can have different AI agents that are specialized in different industries or different specialization. So, for my use case, it's data science. I know the best to do. I've been in the industry for the last 12 years, building and shipping models. So, understanding the world, how it works, the domain and what people are waiting for, are excited about. This is what allows me to build actually Octopus, which actually does the lifecycle of of of of AI. And helps businesses go faster, ship models faster without needing to wait, uh, month on month, uh, for for for technical teams to produce a model that is reliable. And you can see in different industries where we can apply AI. People that have experience in different domains, they use to think, okay, I have a startup idea, but I cannot build because I'm not technical. But the era is over. Now AI is here. You can build your solution and deploy your solution with the assistance of AI. You probably don't need a co-founder, right? What is more important is having the industry knowledge and the knowledge and expertise he has. And this is the same for any industry, right? If you are in healthcare, if you did education, if you did engineering, or whatever domain of expertise, you can build an AI solution that actually can help in that industry. So, I do believe in an era where you have like, uh, 17, 19 year old kid from a far village in Senegal or Nigeria that can launch products that are working. And, uh, what about AI in your country? Senegal? What do you see about AI and how Senegalese are embracing AI? I think there is already great initiatives in Senegal, organizations that are already tackling the AI before even this revolution or as we see it right now. So, I can name, for example, Galsen AI, which is a community of young people and researchers and university and students that actually created a community to talk about AI, machine learning, and the guys who launched products that are working. And, uh, what about, uh, La Francophonie? Uh, I think, uh, it's a voice AI that actually can, uh, talk in Wolof, like, uh, ChatGPT would do. And I can name, uh, Bumtu also, which is one of the oldest, uh, AI provider of, uh, of that kind of, uh, TDS solutions. I think it exists already. People are doing, some effort. But now, what I'm pushing for for Africa is to build applications on top of AI, to build, uh, to build, uh, to build AI solutions that are working. I do believe in an era where, uh, you have like, uh, 17, 19 year old kid from a far village in Senegal or Nigeria that can launch products that are working. And, uh, I do believe in an era where, uh, you have like, uh, 17, 19 year old kid from a far village in Senegal or Nigeria that can launch products that are working. And this is absolutely possible. Thank you. Thank you so much, Doudou. Thank you.
