Painting a life boat for those tired of fighting the tide 🥹 This painting started with this song really, I’d only heard it recently and it hit me like a sack of potatoes.. or bricks? Neither I enjoyed 😅 I’ve had it on repeat a lot and the piece sorta started painting myself in my head.. I couldn’t stop thinking about the idea of a lifeboat. Not because the sea is always rough… but because sometimes bloody life is. And sometimes the bravest thing you can do isn’t swim harder… it’s let yourself be rescued for a while. Oooo she’s Deep ain’t she! I wanted this one to feel like relief. Like that first deep breath after you’ve been holding everything together for far too long.
