Traveling New York With My CEO 🤯

I spent a few days in New York traveling with my CEO and these the five biggest things I took away. Number one is time. We had just wrapped up a client meeting on Jane Street and a few hours later we had another one in the Hamptons. We were already driving there when I remembered thinking there is no way we are making it. Then Jeff made one phone call and said, and this was the first time I've ever been in a helicopter. So it showed me that time is the most valuable asset that anybody can own. Number two is relationships. Working out of the New York City office. I learned some of them have worked with Jeff for nearly 20 years. They've built companies together, sold companies together and they're still building today. The next day people were stopping both of us on the street. From remembering videos we made last year. And people that knew him from when he lived in the city years ago. It reminded me that great relationships are built over years, not overnight. No. 3 is standard. Every morning around 6:00 AM I wake up to 70s rock music blasting throughout the house. Jeff was already on the bike. It didn't matter that we gotten home late the night before. Workout, sauna, notebook open, then straight into calls and meetings. That's when I realized high performers don't negotiate with their routines. They just show up. Number four is innovation. One conversation kept coming up all week. And it was about influence. Jeff believes it's shifting in two places right now. AI search and creators. I already see it in my own life. If I have a question I ask Chat GPT. If I'm looking for a great sushi spot in New York I go to TikTok. That's where attention is moving. And that's why I'm here working for his company. The best has yet to come. And last but not least, number 5 is leadership. The biggest thing I noticed wasn't business strategy. It was how Jeff treated people. Founders, colleagues, waiters. Everyone got the same level of respect. He gave people credit where it was due. Made them feel seen and was always calm and thoughtful. No matter what he did. And watching that explained why people have stayed by his side for decades now. I'm only 22 and I know I have a lot to learn. This trip gave me a completely different perspective on what success actually looks like. I realize that blending fun into work hits different when it's well earned. Things are heating up and I'm super excited for what's to come.
