Trying to figure out how a women came out of a man's rib. And people actually believed it for years. One thing that still blows my mind after deconstructing religion is realizing I spent years believing a woman literally came out of a man's rib. I never stopped to think about it. I just accepted it because that's what I was taught. Looking back, it's crazy how normalized that was. Deconstructing religion wasn't about becoming rebellious for me. It was about realizing that some of the things I believed were inherited, not chosen. And once I started rebuilding my spirituality for myself, I realized that I could choose what I believed.
