One thing that still blows my mind after deconstructing religion… is realizing I spent years believing a woman literally came out of a man’s rib. I never stopped to think about it. I just accepted it because that’s what I was taught. Looking back, it’s crazy how normalized that was. Deconstructing religion wasn’t about becoming rebellious for me.
