Another thing that I realized after my awakening is that an insecure sibling, they don't see you as family. They actually see you as a reminder of everything that they haven't healed. And this is why sibling rivalry doesn't end in childhood. It actually follows you in adulthood. Because an insecure sibling, looking at your life, they're not just looking at your life, they're actually comparing it to theirs. Your confidence reminds them of their self-doubt. Your discipline reminds them of their inconsistency. Your healing reminds them of the work that they've been avoiding. See, your success reminds them of the risk that they never took. And your peace reminds them of the chaos that they're still carrying. So instead of feeling inspired, they actually criticize you. They compete with you. They minimize your accomplishments. They make jokes at your expense. Or like they bring up the past of things that you already outgrown. They secretly hope that you stay where they left you. And because they're family, people expect you to ignore it. But being related to somebody does not automatically make the relationship healthy. See a secure sibling, they celebrate your growth because they know that your success doesn't take away from theirs. An insecure sibling believes there's only room for one to shine. And this is why your expansion feels like their failure. And here's what every cycle breaker needs to remember. You are not responsible for making yourself smaller in order for somebody else to feel bigger. Not even when that person shares your last name.
