Always go for a laptop if you're planning to buy a device. If you're planning to choose between PC and a laptop, always go for the laptop because you'll be able to bring it anywhere, you'll bring it to school, and most importantly, most of the internships, they don't have their own device. So you need to bring your own device, you need to bring your own laptop. So laptop. Minimum specs, 16GB RAM. If meron lang 8GB, okay na rin, but 16GB RAM is better because of AI and because of the productivity it offers. Next is, uh, i5, Ryzen 5 higher, basta 13th gen. I don't know if it's Ryzen 5, I don't know what gen. Then next is integrated GPU, okay, but if you have a dedicated GPU, it's better because for computer engineering, my AutoCAD. Then next is, uh, good working space. So invest on an ergonomic chair and a good table. Kasi tingnan niyo itsura ko. So I have dual monitor kasi ako, but if you only have a single monitor, you can go with a smaller table, but yeah, invest on your workspace because ergonomics is very important. Mahirap sumakit likod. So next is tumbler. So pinaka-basic pero pinaka-important. Always drink your water, guys. Always drink your water. So bumili kayang tumbler na malaki para ma-lagay lahat ng tubig. Then next, hindi na 'to pang-freshman, but AI subscriptions. So AI is very powerful. Sobrang laking tulong ng AI when it comes to software development, anything, anything related to tech. Sobrang bilis ng AI ngayon. So if you start working on your capstone, your thesis, your projects, your personal projects, anything, sobrang helpful na may AI kayo. So yeah, ready niyo pera niyo sa mga subscriptions. Meron naman mga mura options and meron din mga mahal na options. So just go for what fits on your budget.
