I'm frugal and free is my favorite word and even though New York City is one of the most expensive cities in the world there are so many things that you can do in the city for free so spend the whole day with me doing free things I woke up early because we have a full day of free stuff to do to celebrate the occasion I threw on my favorite save your money and shut up t-shirt I mean a full day of free stuff is my version of the Super Bowl to get our free day started I headed to the Staten Island Ferry completely free you got great views of the city and the Statue of Liberty I'm starting from the lowest point of Manhattan and I'm going to work my way up I found a bottle so that's 10 more signs yay a 20-minute walk from the Staten Island Ferry is the Brooklyn Bridge it's so iconic I didn't have enough time to walk to the other side that's a fun thing to check out there are great views of the skyline there are a lot of people selling souvenirs so if you want to keep it free walk past it and now I'm off to the east side of Manhattan and yes I'm walking everywhere today because I don't feel like paying for the subway who's this diva free kayaking Pier 29 a lot of people may not know this but there's a place where you could go kayaking for free fortunately they were closed down today I'll go check that out tomorrow but hey now you know walk the miles to my next destination which was Little Island I think they just created this a few years ago so it's still relatively new and it's essentially a little floating island in the Hudson River but it doesn't cost anything to go there it's so lush there's some really pretty views and I think people would pay a lot of money to eat with a view like that I met a lot of budget baddies there they were so nice I'm on my way to my next free destination I met some more budget baddies there they were so nice I love it the Highline not far from Little Island is the Highline which is my next destination I met up with a friend here he was on his work break so we just hung out for a little bit and next destination is a little random but I'm going to the library the library is a great place to take a little midday break this is the New York Public Library by Bryant Park I always come here to refill my reusable water bottle with me because drinks can get expensive so I always come here to refill my water bottle use the bathroom charge my phone cool down in the AC the library is so underrated and if you're doing a whole day of adventure there's a really good place to take a little break and I met some budget baddies there I'm on my way up town I checked out St. Patrick's Cathedral I've always walked by it and I've never been in it so I went to go check it out because it's free I thought these were marshmallows they're actually candles this is probably not the place to take one it was pretty in there and then I checked out Central Park of course Central Park is so iconic a budget baddie named Tao he said my content is very popular over there so me how to all my budget baddies in China I don't know why but every time I visit New York City I find a Louis Vuitton box that was something free I did today on my way to the subway station I came across a free concert in the park are you kidding me it was so fun and I couldn't have asked for a better way to finish my day New York City of doing only things for free and that's how you enjoy life on a budget love you guys thanks for watching!
