Who convinced us OtterBox & LifeProof cases were actually cool? Otterbox Cases I remember when I was like 14 years old and I finally got my own iPhone 6. This thing was god-tier. This thing was passed down from my dad, then to my mom, then to my older brother, then to me. So I finally got it. And everybody at school had either Otterbox cases or these sick LifeProof cases, right? And these things were tough. I mean, the main thing cool to me was like, this thing was fully waterproof. The idea was like, alright, I'm gonna get a LifeProof case so that when I go to the swimming pool, I can record underwater. It was pretty groundbreaking, okay? Looking back at these cases, like, bro, what was I thinking? Like, to be honest now, like, I don't even use a case on my phone. In fact, I prefer no cases, but these things were absolute honkers. Are you kidding me? Especially the Otterbox ones. I never had an Otterbox one, but I had friends that had them and they were like, I just want to protect my phone. Like, bro, you do not need an extra quarter inch around your phone to protect that thing. I have cases like this one and other ones that are super thin around the edges and they do plenty.
