What I thrifted & What I did with it... I got on my California thrifting road trip 🚗 The first one says vintage horse painting Somebody actually painted this in watercolor on an old magazine page And then I found this etched cowboy that somebody carved into wood I think it's an old magazine cover and this saddle print from an old newspaper And my goal is to thrift all western inspired pieces and put them all the way up to the ceiling on this wall here and I'm calling it my "Western Wall!" 🤠 Next I thrifted this mirror shutter farmhousey thing and I didn't really like the blue so I spray painted it in a bronze and buffed in some brown wax and I put it on this open space above my toilet because I thrifted this vintage pewter candlestick And now I need to thrift a candlestick holder but I thought this was a really cool way to display that and then you can light it when it starts smelling in there if you know what I mean 💀 Then at one of the last spots my dad thrifted this basket and I love the shape of it but I don't know what somebody did if they spray painted it turquoise It was only $6.99 so I took the risk! I wanted to try something that I've never done before so I spray painted it all black and then I had this old IKEA shelf that I just cut a piece of wood off and I'm using the spare wood as like my little shelf lip And it fit perfectly right in the middle of this basket And then I screwed it on both edges on the basket and spray painted that black too because I wanted to turn this basket into a wall shelf To replace this towel holder that I don't ever use and it just looked really high up on the wall and put this on the wall back into those old screw holes And this was the perfect little DIY shelf to display all my antique and vintage trinkets and a really cool place to put hand towels when your guests come over I think this is actually my favorite upcycle!! What do you guys think about this one!? 😍
