This video was filmed over 100 years ago and this transition was done using only red face paint. Let's watch that again. It literally turns into a witch using only red face paint. Obviously they had no like CGI or video effects back then, so they had to get creative. And it basically works the same way as those blue and red 3D glasses. So they painted her face like this and put the red face paint anywhere they wanted darkness. And then they added a red filter to the camera, which canceled out the red on her face. When they wanted her to turn into the witch, all they had to do was remove the lens. And obviously in black and white, red just looks like darkness. And that is just so freaking cool to me. So today, we're trying out this old Hollywood makeup hack. Obviously, I have my regular glam on right now. So if I turn on the black and white filter, yes, it should look mostly normal. But now if I take my red face paint and start drawing in darkness and lines, and wherever I want to look scary and caved in, it should hopefully work the same way when I use the filter.
