1. Your resume can say “AI” all day. If you haven’t shipped anything real, nobody knows what you can actually do. 2. Three chatbot clones and a notebook are not a strong portfolio. 3. Sending the same resume to every job is lazy job searching. 4. If a role asks for RAG, evals, and deployment, your projects need to show that work clearly. 5. Building is only half the job. You also need to explain trade-offs, failure modes, and why your decisions made sense. 6. A project that only works in a demo video will not help much in interviews. 7. Before blaming the model, check retrieval, context, prompts, and evals. 8. Recruiters should not have to guess why you are valuable. 9. Your best work should be easy to try, easy to read, and easy to understand. 10. Companies do not hire “interesting.” They hire useful. #ai #softwareengineering #python
