So, I'm reading this book, the psychology of money and I've been learning so much, right? I got to chapter nine and something really struck my attention. It says spending money to show people how much money you have is the fastest way to have less money and it's just the fact, right? It is very, very easy to start buying things that you actually do not need. Things that are actually liabilities, right? Just because you want people to feel or know that you have money and it doesn't just even it's it's not beneficial for you in any way. because that's the fastest way for you to have less money. You end up buying a risk watch that you actually absolutely do not need and may not even end up wearing simply because you want to show people that you have more money. And when I was reading this book, this book was like people were see those items. Like people will see you riding a fancy car and they won't even be thinking about you that is driving the car. All they'll be thinking about is how it would be for them to also ride that kind of car. The kind of joy they would get from writing that kind of car, they kind of respect and value that writing that kind of car will give them, right? At the end of the day, when they see you, they actually thinking about themselves, not even you that is actually using the item or driving the car, right? So at the end of the day, you really don't want to spend money because of what people think or you want to spend money for because of you want to impress people or gain validation from people. It's actually not necessary, right? If you want to buy luxury items or buy things, it should be because okay, you really want to use this thing. You really want to get it for yourself, it makes you happy. But if it's based on what people are thinking or what people have to say, it's actually just the fastest way to have less money and you end up feeling empty at the end of the day because you actually you end up also regretting sometimes because you actually just got something that you you absolutely did not need or find valuable simply because you wanted social validation, right? I mean, this book is actually quite interesting. I've been learning a lot. If you want it, you can get yours. I've linked it in a yellow basket.
