The internet bullied a PlayStation animator into making this game. Now half a million people can't wait to play it. In 2022 the senior animator for Ghost of Tsushima at Sucker Punch was rebuilding his demo reel to hunt for new work. So he grabbed an old Spinosaurus animation and stuck a giant Buster Sword in its mouth as a joke. The clip exploded, 6 million views on Twitter alone and the comments demanded a full game. He kept saying no, a game was impossible for one person to build, but the internet wouldn't let it go. Four years later, that joke is a full soulslike with the same Spinosaurus fighting extinction with a great sword in its jaws. Every region of its dying world is ruled by an alpha, and everyone you cut down as a summon for the fights ahead. The demo has a 97% positive rating and it's called DinoBlade, releasing on Steam on July 23.
