One of last year's best open world survival games is finally out on consoles! This is Dune: Awakening, a cinematic and immersive sci-fi survival game set in the Dune universe. You'll contend with all of Arrakis' forces of nature, like sandworms and the scorching sun. Build outposts and fortresses to act as your squad's base of operations and craft ornithopters and other awesome Dune technology to help you stay alive. Exploring the world of Arrakis is just as beautiful and terrifying in this game. Dune: Awakening originally dropped in June 2025, but now, along with its console release, it also got a huge new update: the highly anticipated single player mode and the epic conclusion to the game's main storyline, so all players on all platforms can play from start to finish. Plus, for fans of the films, the brand new DLC called Filmic Archive just launched too, featuring cosmetics inspired by the aesthetic of the movies for both your character and your bases. I don't know about you, but I'm in my survival game era right now, and especially with the movie trilogy's finale dropping this December, I also happen to have just entered my Dune era. So this could not have come at a better time. You can play Dune: Awakening now on PC, PS5, Xbox Series consoles and on Game Pass. Plus, you can pick it up for 50% off right now on Steam. Thank you Funcom for sponsoring this video.
