Come with me as I work overtime on the weekend at my tech job As I do overtime on the weekend at my starting off with a late rainy morning and the classic Bukoto traffic. Traffic. Had to bust out my Marshall speaker because I need my music if I'm going to work late for both me and my employer's sanity. Quick fit check. Make sure that everything is going smoothly with labelled just so that I don't need to do any unnecessary configurations. Also to take up a new PDU because this switch rack is getting replaced with a bigger, better one. Now while that rack is going down, I need to label all my cables so that things are much smoother when it's time to organise them. Also to order some lunch because the next part is all me. I am preparing the patch panel not knowing that a big mistake that I'm about to find. And yes, I'm on a chair because I'm vertically challenged after mounting like three switches by my lonesome, the door but then I realise, hold up, this door cannot close. The switches are mounted too far in front. So now I have to shift the mountings a bit farther back, but it's already late right now. Regardless the work must be done. So I spend, as you can see, that's me in the night leaving work late, probably the like the last employee. Are probably enjoying the weekend and I'm just leaving work. But now it's time for everyone's favourite night drive with, of course, the blinding lights. But I might upgrade the car with some stronger lights. Can't see, we can't see. And of course, the traffic that's always on this road. But after a few shortcuts, I ended up at the supermarket because I was feeling like treating myself to something. Got some ice cream and juice. Simple, simple stuff. And oh, look, Time Square. Do the Americans know that we also have our Time Square. On the way home I found a nice open stretch. So I had to engine a little bit. Take a listen. And, uh, yeah, finally back home. You can see my tired eyes and my body is aching, specifically my back. But that's it. Time to start the weekend.
