Main Source: The Institute and Faculty of Actuaries along with the University of Exeter published a report called Planetary Solvency in January of 2025. In the Appendix 1, they outline their best estimation of the death toll of the global mean temperature reaching 3 degrees Celsius above the pre-industrial baseline: 4 Billion deaths or approximately half of the global human population.
