Everyone, be nice to my father …. Introducing, "Lessons From ___": a series where I talk to and write about people older than us (full article on my new Substack woo!!), in the hopes to learn a bit more about life 💌!! Kicking things off with Lessons From A Father with my own dad, Mr. Kapaya :) - mainly posting this to get some feedback on the concept, so please let me know what you think & if you have any constructive criticism let me knowww! I was (and still am) planning on doing a long-form version for YouTube maybee?? Anyway, we're the most advised generation in history and yet we constantly take our advice from other twenty-somethings online, so instead of adding to that discourse … I thought it’d be great to learn more from the generation we don't hear from as much, Gen X. I thought my trip to The Dolomites (Italian Alps) with my dear friend @Monica 🦋 was the perfect backdrop for this advice because mountains are the perfect metaphor for life … being out there is actually what had me thinking about and researching the psychology of arrival fallacy (the letdown you feel when you finally hit a goal) and “The Climb” of it all.
