I work with brands all the time, I'm self-managed, and I've noticed that too many people think that making good content is enough to make it as a full-time creative. So here are six tools to find, keep, and manage your work as a creative because your lack of organization is ruining your opportunities. There's being a creator, and then there's being a creator. Lock in. You have to streamline the boring admin so that you can free up time to be as creative as possible. Number one, the Instagram creator portfolio. Now that there's a partnerships tab, brands may reach out to you in the DMs I once had a brand enter my DMs. I'd already previously set up my Instagram portfolio. I sent it over to the brand within minutes, along with my email, within five minutes, the brand had asked for my rates. I then sent back my rates within a minute, if that. And then less than 10 minutes later, we had confirmed the deal. So the two lessons to take away from this: stay ready so you don't have to get ready. Make your portfolio now. And two, haste. Oh, I'm not good at texting. I'm not good at getting back. Get good. Get good. The same idea of, the people who get the most opportunities aren't necessarily the best for the job, they're just the loudest. They're also the quickest. And I'm fast. Okay, next. 2. Foam. It's a great platform for creating a media kit, logging your stats. Goes hand-in-hand with the Instagram portfolio. I would send these both at the same time. Next, Buffer. If you're like me and post to multiple different platforms, so I post on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn. I also have a brand, Creators on Creators. We post on multiple channels as well. Buffer allows you to just upload one piece of content to the platform, and then it distributes it to all of your different channels at once, depending on your plan. The higher your plan, the more channels you can connect. So I think I have six connected on one account and then four connected on another account. You're not spending two hours posting one video across loads of different platforms. You take maybe 10, 15 minutes. You can reply to comments in Buffer as well. Your screen time is lower, more room for creativity. Do you know what I mean? Again, next. 4. Google Calendar. What are you doing if you are not on Google Calendar? How do you remember things? Just be organized, guys. There is no reason for things to be slipping through the cracks when a platform like Google Calendar exists. It sends you a reminder 30 minutes before a call. You can set it up to whatever AI agent you use to give you a daily debrief of what you have to do that day. Lock in. 5. Notion. I love Notion so much. I use Notion to store my scripts. To keep track of all the brand deals that I'm doing, all my content ideas, to transcribe all my calls and then give me action points. And then I put those action points in my Google Calendar. It's just a great workspace for everything. And then last but not least, 6. LinkedIn. I know. Who wants to hear that? Do you know what I mean? But I love LinkedIn. The second I get an email from a new contact, I add them on LinkedIn. I post on LinkedIn. I did my MSC in digital marketing. So I mainly use that for all my consulting opportunities. But even as a creator, it's just great to keep your network updated on what you're doing. You never know what opportunities are gonna come from that. I've definitely seen the benefit in having a LinkedIn. I want this to be all fun and games, and the only way this can be fun and games is if I lock in on the other side of things, okay. Goodbye.
