We've got some big news today out of nowhere. Alibaba came out today and previewed a two point four trillion parameter AI model. But there might be something bigger than Qwen three point eight coming our way. I'm Gigichan and I keep you ahead of the rest when it comes to China. Let's get into this because we're early. Alibaba doesn't just say the Qwen 3.8 Max preview is comparable to the world's best models. They say it's second only to Claude Fable. Is it me or did they kinda just endorse anthropic? This wording puts their model above GPT 5.6, but this is Alibaba's claim, it's not independently verified. It's two point four trillion parameters, but let's reflect on what that means. As you might know parameters are numerical settings learned during training like trillions of tiny dials shaping how the model recognizes patterns and creates answers. More parameters can give a model more capacity, but they don't automatically make it more intelligent. Alibaba's Qwen models are excellent. I know brilliant engineers who prefer them over the rest. As expected
