Free Things To Do Peoria, Illinois

If you've been following our free and cheap things to do in Bloomington-Normal, Illinois, then you know that today's adventure is worth the drive. We are less than an hour away at the Peoria Riverfront Museum and just wait until you hear how much it costs. But first, let me tell you the main reason we came. They have an exhibit right now called Toytopia that's only going to be here until September. Of course, they did have plenty of interactive stuff for the kids to do, but adults would enjoy this as well. We played with Legos, there were retro arcade games, retro board games, lots of history, all kinds of stuff. And the best part is that the second Sunday of every month, the museum is completely free to everyone. They are also part of the museum for all programs, so if your family receives EBT benefits, you get a big discount. It is going to be busier than usual if you come on a free day, but my only tip to you is not to come when they very first open. There are also a bunch of other exhibits like the Promise of Liberty and the Planetarium. As a couple added perks, parking is always free and it's right on the riverfront, so you get a beautiful view.
