How Chinese AI is BONING the American Economy

And that is Chinese models went from less than all traffic in late 2025 to about two-thirds recently. And it's much less expensive. A lot of regional LLMs in China and they have power, cheaper chips, less power consumptive. And they're also subsidized by their own local governments. But the entire economy right now is a giant bet on AI and China has come in with a product that is near frontier for a lot less money and the mountain of Chinese of consumption of Chinese open way tokens has exploded. What the Chinese automobile industry did to Detroit in about three decades it feels like Beijing is doing to USA AI frontier models in about three months. 60% of all tokens spent on AI by American businesses are Chinese AI models. 8% of our fucking GDP is AI. If Trump bans Chinese AI models in the United States, American companies will cripple the the economy will fucking crash. But if Trump does not ban Chinese AI models, open AI and anthropic will go bankrupt. Our top AI companies will go bankrupt. And open AI and anthropic cannot release open source models because they've had hundreds of billions of dollars invested into them. They haven't made they haven't turned over a profit. So the the only solution is to build better AI models. The problem with that is we can't launch data centers the way China can. We can't launch and the special type of data can friction with the public. They own their supply chain and they're the manufacturing country in the world by miles, motherfucker.
