The endgame is for Chinese open-weight AI models. You know, I'm ardently opposed to people using these simply because the evidence that I've seen and that I've had working on the places where I've worked, I don't see any indication that trust the CCP to be doing anything benevolent. I'm also skeptical of any kind of government that has political tensions with various countries, promoting supposedly goodwill globally. That doesn't make sense to me. Political tensions with other countries, but here free stuff. How in the world do you think free stuff is gonna come bugged? But that being said, I'm one percent supportive of open models. Just not the ones from China. And I think people get confused. Mentis is talking about you can still use these models as long as you don't ask about anything related to politics. They work. He's saying things I don't always love, but usually they say this, they end up eating these words later 'cause they realize that I'm saying comes true. Because I've the f*** logic in my head. That's why I'm saying it. I'm not myself 'cause I don't use these models. I'm fearful about people that are naive to the world. I don't know how else to say it. Understand actually I've seen what I've seen what they are really doing and it's not puppy creating these models has strong benefit for them. That's the only reason if it didn't have value, they're not gonna waste time helping of the world with AI. It doesn't make sense. Goes counter interests. On top of that, like the CCP and other the same case in point. Whatever the saying is, if I were to live stream in China right now, I wouldn't be for longer than 30 seconds. And this shit would be shut down. Not only that, I'd be arrested. In jail. A lot of my PhD students from China told me, I never wanna go back to China because China is a very, very bad place to be. You're not allowed to even talk your mind in China. Everything you China is being monitored. Go to China, hang out a little bit. Like f*** internet in China. Tell me what you see, all right? It's not puppy and rainbows, but they get they get confused. They they think that all the world's the same. It's not the same.
