Here's a perfect example of when sometimes buying the most expensive item is not usually worth it. One of these shoes is worth over a thousand dollars, the other one is worth under 300. And if you see them from a little bit further apart, they look basically identical, right? They have different patterns on the bottom, they have a different name, of course, inside, but ultimately, they look very, very similar. The shoe that I'm talking about here is a Loro Piana Summer Walk. A shoe that is extremely popular among social media in general. Loro Piana is known for their material and quality. And I'm here to tell you this is one of the best shoes I've ever had in my life. The material and everything is amazing. The thing is, it's $1,150 at retail. The shoe that I bought it from a local store in Portugal called Sapateria do Carmo, which has been around for over 100 years, and they make exactly the same silhouette with beautiful materials, of course, maybe not the same quality, leather, and and you know, suede as Loro Piana, but it's basically the same silhouette and it's under $100. You don't have to buy this if you want the look and feel of a Loro Piana. You can go to a local store, if you find yourself in Europe, you can go to Scarosso online, you can go to Suitsupply here in the states, they make a very similar shoe, not up to the 90% quality of this one, but very, very close.
