The correct way to apply your nighttime skincare from a licensed esthetician. When it comes to nighttime skincare routines, there are three main routines. You have your hydration night, your exfoliation night, and your retinoid night. In this video, I'm going to show you all three nights. First, starting with our hydration night. No matter what, you always double cleanse at night. Now, your double cleanse can be an oil cleanser, a cleansing balm, or a micellar water. I prefer micellar water. I'll use this first, then go in with a gentle cleanser. Then you can go in with a hydrating toner, if you want. This is completely optional. I don't use hydrating toners. Then would be your serums of choice. Now, these are going to be hydrating serums, like hyaluronic acid, beta glucan, anything that you want, it's your hydration night. So as long as it's gentle and simple, you can use it. Then your eye cream, then your moisturizer. I will lay the order out here. You guys can pause, take a screenshot. Now moving on to exfoliation night. Once again, you double cleanse. Then go in with your exfoliation of choice. This can be any exfoliator that works for your skin type, but no matter what, no matter what type of exfoliator it is, it always goes on first after you cleanse your face. Once this has dried down, you then move into your hydrating toner, once again, optional. Then your serums. This could be a hydrating serum, a peptide, anything that's gentle on the skin because you just exfoliated. Then your eye cream, then your moisturizer. Double cleanse, exfoliator, toner, serum(s), eye cream, moisturizer. Once again, I will put the order here. You guys can screenshot it, pause the video. Now moving on to retinoid night. Double cleanse. Then you go in with your retinoid. This can be any retinoid that's good for your skin, whatever you are using, whatever works for your skin. Then you'll jump into your hydrating toner, optional, hydrating serum, or your peptide, whatever is gentle on the skin because you just used a retinoid. But I only recommend that to people who are brand new to retinoids, have very sensitive, reactive skin, or very dry skin. Then your eye cream, then your moisturizer. And those are your three main nighttime skincare routines.
