How do you use azelaic acid in your morning and nighttime skincare routine? Coming from a licensed esthetician, so I know what I'm talking about. Starting off the order of your morning skincare: First, you're going to gently cleanse. Then you're going to use your Vitamin C first. You're going to fully let that dry down. Then you're going to go in with your azelaic acid. And then from there, you're going to go from thinnest to thickest. Order of my routine would be a hydrating toner if you use one. I don't use toners, but if you use one, you would use your hydrating toner next. Then your hydrating serum. This could be hyaluronic acid, peptides, beba-glucan, whatever hydrating and very gentle on your skin. Then you'd use your moisturizer. Then your SPF. That is how you use an azelaic acid in your morning and nighttime skincare routine. Nighttime routine: Azelaic acid is gentle enough to use with retinoids, exfoliants, but personally for me, for my skin type, I only like to use it on my hydration nights. First, you would double cleanse. Then you would use your azelaic acid on clean, dry skin. Fully let that dry down. And then you would go from thinnest to thickest. Once again, hydrating toner if you want to use a toner, I don't use toner, but if you want to use a toner, you can. Then hydrating serum. This could be hyaluronic acid, peptides, beba-glucan, whatever hydrating and very gentle on your skin. Then moisturizer. Sorry, SPF. Pretend that wasn't there. You're going to end with your moisturizer. And that's how you use an azelaic acid in your morning and nighttime skincare routine.
