TAKING MY DANCE TEAM TO UDA CAMP FOR THE 1ST TIME EVER!! DAY ONE VLOG!!

Let's get into it. We started the day by walking into the main ballroom where we're gonna be dancing all week. And I think that was the moment it officially started feeling real, like we are here. Let's do it. First, we had to come up with the team chant, which was so fun. Immediately got everyone super excited. Then we went straight into learning our performance routine and let me tell you, we were stressing. This routine and style were very different from what my dancers are used to. So that was definitely a learning curve, but they said focus kept working and it turned out really, really great. After that, we learned some super cute sidelines and then it was time for drill down. So I had introduced drill down to my team maybe 30 minutes before camp, but this was their first time experiencing the real thing. But they did such a good job jumping in and figuring it all out. Next, we played a pom game and this was literally one of the most fun parts of the entire day. My team was so into it. If you could not tell, our girl Katie ended up winning the whole thing. Go girl! And then somehow the night got even better. We won a spirit stick and a super spirit stick on our very first night ever. One of my dancers actually told me before camp that her main goal for our team was to earn a spirit stick and we did it. Period. It was officially a wrap on day one and let me tell you, the team was lit and we are so ready for day two.
