My family owns eight restaurants but none of them would exist without this little place. This is Lefty's Drive In. It's the first restaurant we ever opened and I don't think I've ever talked about it because honestly it's not really that flashy. We still take orders on guest checks and the cash register sounds like this. And the menu has hardly changed but cool enough that's the part that people appreciate about it, including me. This place is seriously the coolest. When growing up I didn't really work so much here. I mainly worked at the little diner but I was always super jealous of the older girls that worked here. They actually had to wear rollerblades that they were just the coolest. And now into my wise old age of 23, the idea of rollerblades sounds awful. Another thing that's cool about this place is that people order the nostalgic things. For instance, we sell tons of Boston Coolers which is literally vanilla ice cream and Vernors blended together and it makes kind of like this slushy mess but I can attest it is so so good. And even throughout all these years, I'm 90% sure the best selling items are a chocolate malt, a cheeseburger with ketchup and a footlong coney dog with mustard and onion on top. Oh, and I almost forgot deep fried onion rings. And I don't think those stats have changed in the last 20 years and I have a feeling they're gonna stay that way for the next 20. So yeah, if you have the chance, pull up your car to the carport and maybe try a Boston cooler. It might just change your life. I love you guys. Bye.
