Have you ever booked a vacation and had the owners cancel it two days before we leave? Because that's just what happened to us. Backstory. It's January, so, you know, it's July. Six months ago. We booked a vacation, um, to Hilton Head Island. It's the house that we normally stay in. We've stayed in before. We booked it because we like it. Six months in advance. Like a month passes. And we get this email from, um, beach properties, which is the place that we booked through, saying that, oops, they double booked. How does that even happen? My husband dealt with that and they said, okay, you're good. You can stay. Everything's fine. Five months passed. Two days before our trip. House packed, ready to go. Four kids, baby stuff, beach stuff. I mean, it takes a long time to pack all this stuff. We get a text message. Beach properties again. Saying, um, I'm so sorry, but the owners are not going to vacate. Whatever that means. What can happen? I feel like this is really inconsiderate. This is the second time since we booked that we've had an issue. And it's two days before the trip. Like, if you didn't want to vacate and you wanted to stay there, why didn't you figure this out before two days before? And I mean, who is in the wrong? Is it the owners or is it beach properties? Like, who is not communicating?
