why the people closest to you can't support you

I listened to a podcast with Paige Lorenze on it and what she said was so crazy and it really shows why sometimes the people closest to you can't support you in your dreams. So basically she was getting a ton of hate at one point on the internet to the point that it turned sort of like violent and scary. So she worked with the police to pinpoint where the IP addresses were coming from. And what she found was the majority of the people that were sending those messages were actually people from her hometown or the surrounding areas. This is so fascinating because it actually shows that hate is an internal problem. Because if the hate was relevant to Paige, then you would see that from people from all around. But because it was from people just from her area, it goes to show that people are comparing themselves to Paige, seeing the opportunities and like that they were able to make for themselves and projecting that hate onto her because her success shines a light on their inability to make changes in their own lives. So what that really shows you is why sometimes the people closest to you can't support you because ultimately your success is shining a light on areas that they need to work on or maybe areas that they need to work on.
