I honestly never thought I would be making this post. On the 9th of July, my POP ceiling collapsed. If you’ve been following my apartment series, then you know this wasn’t just another apartment to me. I poured so much time, energy, money, and love into turning it into a space I was genuinely proud of. every piece of furniture, every light fixture, every little detail was intentional. So imagine moving into a newly renovated apartment in April… and just three months later, your ceiling comes crashing down. The craziest part is that this all happened because of the heavy rains. Water started penetrating the walls, and while trying to figure out what happened, it became clear that there were issues hidden behind the walls that should never have been there in the first place. It honestly makes me question the quality of construction and finishing in some of these developments. Sometimes it feels like speed is prioritized over quality, and the people who eventually rent or buy these homes are left to deal with the consequences. Thankfully, the management has taken responsibility for fixing parts of the apartment, But who’s replacing my chandelier? Who’s replacing my light fittings? Who’s paying for the repainting I’ll now have to do? Who’s replacing the items that were damaged? Those are costs I’ll still have to bear, and that’s the part that hurts the most. For the first three days, I genuinely couldn’t process what had happened. I cried. I was frustrated. I was angry. Then I just… laughed. Because at some point, you either laugh or you’ll keep crying. This incident completely disrupted my routine. If you’ve noticed I’ve been quieter than usual over the last two weeks or wondered why the vlogs suddenly stopped, this is why. Creating content is literally my job, and my home is a huge part of that. When your filming space suddenly becomes a construction site overnight, it affects more than just your home.
