Samsung's Galaxy A line is a lot different than it used to be. Nowadays, it's known for being Samsung's more affordable phones, but back in the day, it really did live up to the Alpha name. And what I mean is, Samsung would experiment with the Galaxy A phones. The Galaxy A9 for example, was the first Samsung phone to have four cameras on the back. You also had the Galaxy A80, where the back camera could flip out from behind and become the front camera. And the hole punch camera that was actually debuted on the Galaxy A8s. So why did Samsung stop doing this? Well, back in the end of the 2010s, Samsung decided to merge the Galaxy A line with the Galaxy J line. So once Samsung merged the A line, that's when we stopped getting phones like this, and more so got phones like this.
