I made a decision at 18 that cost me $220,000. It is my biggest regret to this day. I'm 27 and I chose to go into a shit ton of student loan debt. And it is my biggest regret. I wake up living and breathing regret because of the decisions I made. I allowed emotions to influence a financial decision. And I fear that a lot of colleges are doing that now. A lot of colleges prey on the emotions and the opinions and they're really kind of trying to drive students away from home, all that kind of stuff. And I'm not saying this for any reason. I'm just trying to share this to save someone, some 18-year-old from making the same mistake that I did. Because I went to the college, established relationships, made friends that I didn't want to leave. And so then transfer was out of the option. I was doing fine enough in my classes where I didn't want to transfer. And I was looking forward to the next year in terms of the professors. But it wasn't worth it. My bachelor's degree is a bachelor's degree that could have been from any other university. It did not help me get my job or didn't help me land any kind of networking opportunities or connections or anything like that. And so all this is to say, I have $220,000 of student loan debt. And I pray you learn from my mistakes so you don't do this to yourself.
