Let's talk about my wedding dress and all the changes I made during the custom process, including price transparency. The original dress actually comes in pink rather than white. I knew from the beginning I wanted a strapless dress, so I asked for them to remove the straps. I also am not a rhinestone girly, so I asked for those to be removed from the neckline and from the straps. The original dress comes with a zipper in the back, so I added buttons on top of the zipper to give it a cut I liked, which I liked. The original dress is not made with gloves, so I had custom gloves made for this dress to match the exact pattern of the dress. The original cost of the dress without any changes was $6,390. The buttons cost an additional $350. The alterations cost an additional $375. Bustling, hemming, tightening of the dress, it also includes changing your neckline. The custom gloves cost $1,360. Bringing my grand total to $9,608 for my custom Galia Lahav dress. The dress experience and service and my dream dress were all worth it. I would so do it again.
