If you are sick and tired of how the publishing industry does not uplift and promote queer authors and queer books. Hi, I'm Ashli. I'm a lesbian. This is me and my butch partner. We opened up an online independent LGBTQ+ bookstore. We are based in the UK, but we ship worldwide. We currently ship to over 30 countries and we are going to be expanding more this weekend. Our bookstore only sells books that were written by queer people and have queer characters in. When I say that, I mean the entire community. Lesbian, non binary, gender fluid, lesbian, gay, trans, non binary, gender fluid, aromantic, asexual. If you are in the community, you will find yourself in these books. We have umbrella terminology that you can shop by, such as Sapphic, Achillean, trans. And then we also have a filter for specific rep where you can look for non binary, polyamorous, lesbian, disabled characters. And then on top of that, you can also filter based on genre, specific representation, how long the book is, if the book is a series, standalone, trilogy, and the format. And you can select as many of these filters as you want so you can get hyper specific book racks that have everything you need. Every single one of our orders comes with one of our hand painted and hand drawn bookmarks and also one of our hand signed business cards. The reason why I'm doing this video is because we all know that Amazon and Waterstones tend to dominate the book industry, and not in a good way. They're not exactly diverse, they're not exactly inclusive, and they are essentially pushing out every single independent book store in the UK. People are closing their doors because they can't afford it.
