5 things I WOULD buy for my classroom

5 things I WOULD buy for my classroom as a first year teacher. I did 5 things that I wouldn't buy. So now I'm gonna let you guys know things that I think are worth the money. Starting off so strong, number one, Mr. Sketch markers. If you teach elementary or if you teach anything where you're making anchor charts, which let's be honest, like most of us are making anchor charts, these are the best markers. They smell good, they write the best, they last so long. I love my Mr. Sketch markers. Number two, maybe a bit controversial because I've seen some mixed reviews on this, but I love a rainbow cart. I genuinely use this to organize all my stuff. I find it so useful and I love to put my copies for the week in here. It just helps me stay organized and it helps me plan out my entire week. Number three, dry erase pockets. These are so nice because like if you ever want to make like reusable games or worksheets or anything like you don't want kids to just have whiteboards or anything like that. I love these dry erase sheets. You stick them in and then kids can write on them with a dry erase marker and then you can just wipe them off and reuse the sheets. So these are a staple in my room. Number four, lamps. I used to be the overhead light teacher. I don't like overhead lights anymore. It's just like I want a calm classroom and you really set that vibe with what you do with your room. So lamps and lighting around my room is like so essential. I love my lamps and I'm getting more for this year because I didn't even have enough last year. I was like I need more. And last but not least, number five is a voice amplifier. I really like this one. It's really small and I can set the amplifier up in my room or I can like hook it on myself and then the little microphone is not big. Like I can clip it on my lanyard and it picks up sound really well. You can adjust the volume. It's just really great for like times when I don't feel well or I'm losing my voice or if my kids are being really loud. It's also really useful for them. They love they feel so important when they get to like clip on the little microphone and they love they feel so important and they love like being projected to the entire class.
