Here's how we spend our day in Juneau, Alaska on our 7 day Alaskan cruise Day in Juneau Alaska, DIML We arrived in the afternoon and while it was a rainy day, it was still so pretty. We had just a little bit of time to kill before our excursion, so we walked around downtown. Got to see the famous Tracy's Crab Shack. And then we were off to our first stop of the day, which was Mendenhall Glacier. From the visitor center, you can take about a mile walk and you arrive at Nugget Falls, which is truly so breathtaking. Pictures just don't do this place justice. And every time I turn around, I feel like every view is better than the last. From there, we left for a whale watching cruise, which we got to see orcas, which is super rare. People were hyped on the boat. And of course, we saw lots of whales too. We had a little bit of time before the boat left, so we went back downtown. We hit a couple shops. If I had any space in my luggage, this book would have come home with me. We made a stop at Red Dog Saloon and this place is so fun. Feels like you went back in time a little. And they had live music. Alaska's known for duck fart shots and every place kind of does it a little different. So I mean, of course, we had to try it out. And that's how we spend our day in Juneau.
