✅Reaources in bio to start helping your child today! If your kid can’t put their face in the water calmly and on purpose, this how you build their confidence. Crab walking, steps ladders, ledges. Age and skill appropriate, confidence building activity. Don’t think it’s more beneficial to learning how to swim by putting them in a puddle jumper for 2 hours by themselves. They will improve faster from NATURAL experiences…. Not alternate reality. Children shouldn’t think something this dangerous is easy. This is how you make them understand how their body works with the resistance of the water. I have 5 year old kids that I get, with extensive puddle jumper use, and they can barely walk down steps into a pool without stumbling or getting emotional. And this is how they APPRECIATE and respect water, because they ACTUALLY KNOW what they can do in it. Maybe I forgot to mention but personal flotation devices(puddle jumper) aren’t meant to be used for swimming on purpose. Or for pools. So get in the water with your children and find them appropriate areas, and you will drastically cut down the time it takes them to swim. If your friends guilt you for not using a puddle jumper.. tell them they’re wrong. You need them comfortable in water first. THATS It. Rushing into whatever you think is the next step, is actually like taking 4 steps backward.
