Let's build a fully functional 3D print trumpet. After a ridiculous amount of attempts I finally decided to just buy a $45 trumpet off eBay for its working valves and print the rest. Why not the valves? The gap between a valve and its casing is about a hundredth of a millimeter — thinner than a human hair, and no filament printer can hold that seal. Everything else is plastic, and it plays. It just can't hold that seal. So this is the best that I can do. And I think it still has the possibility to bring music to more people that were unable to access it before. And after all, isn't that kind of the point of this series? It plays. It carries the sound, and it sounds like something. Not when I play it. Because I don't know how to play. But after about 30 seconds of practice, I was able to learn this song. Every layer matters, and so do you. Help. Please.
