So for everyone who's getting pissed off at me for not showing you what a hangi was, I'm so sorry, okay? Honestly, my bad, that was very rude of me for not showing you. A hangi is a traditional Māori dish and everyone who said that it looks very flavorless, okay? When it's cooked, it's cooked with no oil and no seasoning. Also, when it comes to food like this, don't even go off how it looks, all right? It tastes so much better than it looks, especially when you put heaps of gravy on it. So this is what it looks like inside. Here we have potato, cabbage, bread stuffing, there's pork and chicken here. I don't eat pork, so I don't eat that. Uh, pumpkin and kumara, which is sweet potato. So yeah, it definitely looks flavorless, but I promise you it tastes so good. Think of it like a roast, except instead of being cooked in the oven, it's cooked underneath the ground, which honestly is very impressive. It's like a full art form, dare I say. Because they don't be just making one or two hangi, they be making heaps of hangi on the ground at once. So yeah, I'm gonna share with the whole family, the whole whanau. My favorite part of the whole dish is literally the bread stuffing. So yeah, this is everything. Oh my gosh. This tastes so good. I don't understand. It tastes so good.
