So the Tokon beta ends in about 45 minutes at the time of me recording this. So like, if you're new to fighting games, like I got some words for you. First things first, I've said it a million times before, but you just gotta get used to losing. If you can't take losing a lot, then don't even bother. Um, the only way you can get clean is to get washed. That is my favorite fighting game proverb. Don't get on the game worrying about meta or what's the best team or anything like that. Because one, you're not playing at Evo for money. Two, at the level you're playing at, everybody is babies on training wheels. So everybody's just gonna be running around doing anything. So it doesn't even matter. Pick the characters that look cool to you, regardless of any perceived difficulty, because if you stick with them, it's gonna be better for you in the long run. Do not on get on the game and the first thing you start trying to do is learn your combos, because the most important thing to do when you're first starting out is to learn how to move around and learn how to block. Good defense. Because if somebody is playing a fighting game is like playing an RPG enemy that has a patience meter. You can tell when that patience meter is wearing thin and going into the red zone, because they start doing dumb shit. And the easiest way to do that is learn how to duck and dodge and block everything. And most important part is to have fun. If you feel yourself getting frustrated, turn the game off. When I was playing Green Goblin, I'm role-playing Green Goblin voice lines out loud. That's the type of shit you need to do to keep your mind saying, because some of the shit will drive you insane, but you're playing a video game. You're here to have fun. The most important thing is to have fun.
