Whittier, CA residents, are y'all also sick and tired of the excessive amount of coffee shops around here? I need to hate on my hometown a little bit. So I live in Whittier, California. I've lived here my whole life. And I've never liked it, but that's besides the point. My dislike for it has definitely grown ever since I moved back here from college. And it's specifically because there is nothing to fucking do here other than go to a fucking coffee shop. If you live here, you know there's like two to three coffee shops every fucking block. It is insufferable. The only things that exist here are coffee shops and car washes. And what makes it worse is that very few of these coffee shops are actually good workspaces. Other than that, the coffee is painfully made, they're baked goods are painfully made, they're loud, they're packed, the seating's not good. It is insufferable. And I don't mean to be a hater because I know a lot of these are family-owned businesses and I really want to respect that. And I, you know, I do give them business because what else is there for them to do here? I do feel bad, but it's too fucking many. It is coffee shops and car washes. If you live in Whittier, you have no excuse to have a dirty fucking car. Seriously. Please. If you live in Whittier and you think about owning a coffee shop, like, I really don't want to trample on anybody's dreams or anything like that. I really don't. Try a city next door or have it be something different. Please. If you go to Uptown Whittier, it is like every three steps, there is another coffee shop. The city is in desperate, desperate need of variety. Like, seriously.
