The video likely worked due to its surprising and "satisfying" visual reveal, combined with a common, relatable food item. The unexpected transformation of fries into a frozen, cuttable block created curiosity and shareability.

Most people don't know this about McDonald's fries. All right, so I'm gonna pour the fries out into a sheet of tin foil. And fold it all up. Stick a rubber band over the top. And remember to put one on the other side too. Now I'm gonna take a piece of masking tape, put it over the top. And now just go ahead and run some lines through it. All right, we're gonna open up the freezer and stick it in for only about 45 minutes. Let's take it out and see what we got. All right, now slowly peel the tape off. All right, now I just need to cut it in half. Now take a look.
