So we're about an hour for landing and this is when I do my biggest reset on the plane. You've spent hours in recycled low humidity air. You're dehydrated, your circulation is sluggish and you're looking puffy. So here's exactly what I do as a Doctor when preparing to land. First, get up and walk, even just up and down the aisle. Your calves are doing more work than you think to push that fluid where it should be. Second, ankle circles in your seat, both directions, 10 reps each, or calf raises for 60 seconds. It sounds like nothing, but those muscle contractions genuinely help your venous return. Third comes the skincare reset, a quick lymphatic drainage massage. Then I'll mist my face, apply a light moisturiser, eye patches, and then later top up my SPF. Fourth, rehydrate properly. I mean, actually finish a full bottle of water in that last hour. Cabin crew prepare for landing.
