If you can’t catch up to high velocity, someone else will... and they’ll take your spot. ⚾️💥 Every level of baseball throws harder. If you want to play varsity, college, or pro ball, you have to be able to handle velocity. After signing with the Mets, this was the exact type of training I had to get used to. Instead of using baseballs, I’m using rubber pitching machine balls. That lets me crank the machine up to extreme velocities without destroying my bats, while still forcing my eyes, timing, and swing to adjust to speeds that make game pitching feel slower. ✅ Be early to be on time. If you feel “on time,” you’re already late. ✅ Match the plane of the baseball instead of fighting it. ✅ Stay on top of the ball because high-velocity fastballs carry heavy backspin. ✅ Train at speeds that are even faster than what you’ll see in games so competition feels slower. The goal isn’t just to survive high velocity... It’s to make 90–95 mph feel comfortable when the lights come on. If you want the same college and pro-level drills I use to prepare for high-level pitching, DM me “SWING” and let’s get to work. ⚡️ Birmingham Area 📍 #Baseball #BaseballTraining #Hitting #HittingDrills #baseballplayer
