If you haven't planned your 2027/28 euro summer holiday destination and you're not sure where you want to go, consider adding these seven places to your list. We have spent the last three years traveling full time and in that time we've spent around nine months in Europe and these have been our favorite places. So save this post, send it to your mates, let's get into it. First on our list is Kotor in Montenegro. We spent about a month in Montenegro and this was by far our favorite place. We stayed in a small town called Dobrota and there are actually so many little towns all around the water, but we loved Dobrota because it was quiet and you could also walk about 30-40 minutes into the old town. So definitely explore the old town. Go to a floating wine bar called Kraken wine bar. Definitely make a reservation. They basically preserve all of the wine underneath the water for like years and years. It was so cool. And make sure you spend taking a gondola up to the top for sunset too. Second on our list, we're heading to Italy to an island called Sardinia. But in particular, stay in a town called Cala Gonone. This is so central, so perfect to base yourself because then you can explore the north and the south of these parts of the island. They have very different feels. We also loved Cala Gonone because it has the most beautiful crystal blue water and beaches, like Cala Luna. Hire a boat for the day, explore all of these beautiful beaches and make sure you go to an agriturismo called Cadula Fuli. This was the best dinner that we had in our entire trip. Third on our list is an island called Madeira in Portugal. This island is so spectacular. It was voted the best island in the world for 11 years running and we understand why. There's so much to do here, just the scenery is absolutely stunning and the hikes. We definitely recommend booking your hikes ahead of time, especially the PR1 hike, the stairway to heaven hike. And spend a morning in the Porto Moniz natural rock pools. Fourth on our list is a small coastal beach town called Kas in Turkey. And we loved this place. We spent a week here about two years ago. It's so peaceful, it's so cute. You can walk around everywhere. It's got really cool bars all along the water and it's one of the best places to go scuba diving if that's your vibe. Fifth on our list is Lefkada in Greece. Our favorite Greek island. We love this place because it's the perfect mix between bougie, awesome restaurants, awesome cafes, and then also really authentic Greek, not to mention, it has the most spectacular crystal blue beaches that we've ever seen in our entire life. Sixth on our list, we're heading back to Italy and this time to Lake Como. We've been back here three times in the last three years because we just love it. It's typical Italy, but on this beautiful lake and you can stay in one town and then hop on a ferry and go explore the other ones. Not to mention the food is just 10 out of 10. And then lastly, we're heading to Berat in Albania. This little town really blew us away. It's like stepping back in time and it's what you can imagine quintessential Albania would be like. We stayed in the castle and loved it and another place that you cannot miss is Lily's homemade kitchen. Lily was just such a legend and it was probably one of our favorite meals in all of Albania.
