If you're in your 20s and trying to figure out what trip to go on, just pick one of these. Third, and this is probably my favorite. First up is Indonesia. And I know you're thinking that's not an underrated place, but you're gonna skip Bali. Fly in there, don't go to Uluwatu, take a ferry over to Gili Trawangan or Gili T. Get your party on here, chill on the beach, chill out, do some scuba diving as well. It's beautiful here and really cheap. Then you want to head over to Lombok, stay in Kuta, where you can learn how to surf. There's great surf camps here or individual lessons, which are also pretty cheap. Then you can drive around the beaches and waterfalls here. And then you want to go over to Mount Rinjani, hike this volcano, but it's really hard, but it's worth it. It's beautiful. Time. And then if you have time, do the Komodo boat tour, takes you on a multiple day boat tour over the Komodo Islands. But I would recommend doing one that doesn't feed the whale sharks on the way because then it forces the whales to fuck up their migration patterns and you don't want to do that. Second is Ecuador. Pretty overlooked country in South America. It's beautiful here. Fly into Quito, drink a lot of water because it's really high up in the air, high altitude. Explore the city and take the Teleférico up to the mountains and do a little bit of hiking there to get you acquainted to the altitude. Then you can go to Cotopaxi National Park. Stay at the Secret Garden Hostel here. There's a ton of amazing hiking you can do around there, to some waterfalls, and also up to Cotopaxi volcano. There's llamas on the ground. It's beautiful. Eat the banana bread. It's great. Then you're gonna head over to Baños, where this is like a little adventure town. You can go biking all around, ziplining, whatever you want to do there, you can do it. Lastly, this is probably my favorite underrated country in Europe is Albania. As soon as you get here, you're gonna head to the south town, little beach town called Himarë. It's beautiful here. I could have stayed for weeks. I absolutely loved it. Beautiful Mediterranean beaches, but way less people and way less costly than your typical Mediterranean destination. Rent a scooter, drive up and down the coast, see as much as you can. It's beautiful. Then you wanna go to Tirana, if you want a little bit of a city life here. But then you're gonna head to Shkodër. From Shkodër, you're gonna want to book the Valbona to Theth hike. This is one of my favorite hikes I've ever done in the world. You see some amazing views, got lost on the mountain actually with a group of people, which was scary at the time, but looking back was amazing. So don't get lost, maybe, but then make your way to Theth. There, you can drink and chill, hang out. This is a great place to get from Albania to the rest of Eastern Europe if you're doing some long-term traveling.
